Acorn builds a Performance Learning Management System (PLMS) that combines learning management with performance management, helping organizations define role-specific capabilities and tie them to measurable outcomes. The platform uses an AI engine and a proprietary library of more than 1,600 capabilities and 4,800 proficiency levels to generate personalized development plans in minutes. In 2023 the company introduced the PLMS category, and it has now launched Capabilities AI, software that automatically maps capability frameworks to job descriptions to improve employee career pathways.
