The product aims to serve as a relational database for institutional customer knowledge so companies can retain and surface researcher findings. The company began with a self-funded approach, scaling to a team of six and roughly $500K in annual revenue before raising around AUD$5M in 2019. It later raised a seed-1 round at the end of 2020 at a valuation north of $100M. Dovetail is product-led and tripled its revenue and customers last year via self-serve adoption, only recently hiring its first account executive.
