Mission

Constellation Technologies is developing a constellation of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet and enable telecom operators to extend service to remote areas. The company plans to repurpose terrestrial 5G spectrum for its satellite operations to access unsaturated spectrum and reduce costs. Funding of €9.3 million from Expansion and the French Tech Seed fund (managed by Bpifrance) will finance end-to-end connectivity tests and final engineering studies for its first two satellites. Founded in 2022 by Charles Delfieux, Constellation employs around 30 people across offices in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Toulouse. It intends to industrialize and mass-produce satellites and user terminals and aims to offer global coverage by the end of the decade. The company emphasizes sustainability by seeking to reduce space debris and light pollution as it scales.
