About

Corrosion Instruments develops the CP‑Pro, an IoT device that surveys and monitors oil and gas pipelines by measuring cathodic protection systems and transmitting real‑time CP data.

Mission

Corrosion Instruments develops an IoT technology, the CP‑Pro, to survey and monitor oil and gas pipelines by accurately measuring Cathodic Protection (CP) systems. The CP‑Pro collects CP data in real time, providing a tool to replace an outdated and costly measurement process. The company was founded by Sam Pattemore after several years in the pipeline industry and targets improvements in CP monitoring and measurement. Corrosion Instruments is based in the Northern Territory and won the 2019 Croc Pitch at the Darwin Innovation Hub. As part of that win it received a $100,000 venture capital investment and additional Business Innovation Funding. The startup positions its product as a previously unavailable real‑time CP measurement solution for pipeline operators.
