About

Hopr is a Sydney-based startup that makes non-alcoholic, hops-infused sparkling water blended with adaptogens and nootropics.

Mission

Founded in 2020 by Jose Ramirez, Hopr offers a sparkling hops-infused water that delivers the tang of an IPA without alcohol, complemented by citrus flavors, adaptogens, and nootropics. The product targets consumers seeking a healthier way to unwind and has gained national distribution across Australian grocery stores and bottle shops. Over the past two years, the company’s revenue has grown more than 10×, prompting six warehouse moves, the latest to a facility nearly three times larger than its predecessor. Hopr plans to use fresh capital to scale production capacity, broaden distribution, and hire sales and marketing talent. Analysts project continued double-digit growth for the broader “better-for-you” drinks category that Hopr operates in. Founder Ramirez credits the brand’s community for early traction after traditional VCs passed, emphasizing the tangible, operational nature of beverage startups. Key supporters include FMCG veteran John Bromley, former Matildas goalkeeper Sue Read, and fintech commentator Chris Titley.
