About
Minimis builds standalone smart sports sunglasses that replace watches and bike computers by integrating tracking sensors, a HUD display, GPS and eSIM connectivity for endurance athletes.
Mission
Minimis is developing Minimis Flow, a pair of lightweight sports sunglasses that consolidate the functionality of sports watches and bike computers into a single head-up-display device. The glasses feature an optical heart-rate sensor, ANT+ compatibility, integrated GPS, 4G LTE/eSIM, and a full-HD PinTILT display, allowing runners and cyclists to monitor performance data, navigate routes, make calls and stream music without additional devices. Originating from a viral 2022 sketch in the TAUR Facebook group, the product has since attracted an engaged community that provides feedback and places pre-orders. The founders, Joseph Guo and Paul Skevington, left careers in law and medical technology to focus on the venture after becoming frustrated with fragmented wearables. Backed by technical expertise from former Microsoft HoloLens talent, Minimis plans to extend its platform to golf, snow and swim sports after the initial running and cycling launch. The company positions itself to capture a share of the $20 billion+ wearables market by iteratively building with its user community.
