The company sells directly to consumers and through physical retailers, with stockists including IGA, Romeo’s and FoodWorks. Founded in 2013 and based in Sydney, it delivers about 400,000 meals per week to a customer base of over 100,000, with roughly 75% of meals delivered directly. Revenue is now approaching AUD150m and the business has grown about 100% a year over the past three years. The firm describes itself as one of the largest direct-to-consumer food businesses in Australia. Management says the new investor will help harness the brand and accelerate growth.
