Why Rumin8 exists
Rumin8 is a climate technology company based in Perth, Australia that develops feed supplements to reduce methane emissions from livestock. Led by CEO David Messina, the company leverages patent-protected technology and proprietary expertise in synthesizing and stabilizing otherwise volatile bioactive compounds found in nature. Its supplements are formulated for both feed lot and pasture applications. Rumin8 completed a Phase 2 Seed round raising US$12 million, bringing funds from both seed rounds to approximately A$25 million. The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the USA, support product brand development, and develop a pilot manufacturing plant. The Phase 2 Seed round was led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures with participation from Harvest Road Group.
