Mission

MetaCDN provides a cloud-based content acceleration and delivery platform that dynamically serves videos, images and web files for e-commerce retailers and content publishers. The platform blends and optimizes cloud services from Amazon, Edgecast, Microsoft, Google and others to create a large cloud CDN and reduce distance between web platforms and users. Founded in 2011 from research out of the University of Melbourne and led by CEO Martin Ryan, the company is based in Victoria, Australia. MetaCDN dynamically optimizes and blends multiple network locations to ensure fast delivery of media and web assets. The company completed a US$2.3M funding round and intends to use the proceeds to expand sales, development and support teams in the United States and Europe.
