Abacus provides a realtime employee expense system that lets employees spending on behalf of their company be reimbursed quickly and gives managers visibility into cash flow. The product launched in January and is already used by Pinterest, Foursquare, Coinbase, Betterment and over 150 other customers. The company plans to use the seed funding to hire new people and continue to expand operations. Abacus was co-founded by Omar Qari, Ted Power and Joshua Halickman. The service emphasizes speed of reimbursement and manager monitoring of corporate spending. The company is based in New York City.
