Mission

Epho is developing the Bright Thinkers Power Station, a switching solution that lets large rooftop solar PV systems direct energy either to on-site tenants or trade it on the National Electricity Market. The company will design and develop a 1.7 MW rooftop industrial solar PV demonstrator to prove the concept. Its technology enables a single rooftop system to operate both behind-the-meter and as an independent, market-registered power station, allowing full utilisation of available roof space. Epho is developing the switching technology in collaboration with Siemens Corporation to meet the needs of property companies and large corporate tenants. The demonstrator will be delivered with project partner Goodman Group at Oakdale Industrial Estate in Horsley Park, New South Wales. ARENA has provided funding to support development and demonstration of the concept.
