Avarni provides a platform that measures carbon emissions across supply chains, identifies emissions hotspots and enables enterprises to invite suppliers to contribute procurement and activity data. The platform calculates supplier-specific emission factors, offers forecasting and initiative-planning tools, and gives actionable steps to reduce emissions. Avarni’s approach lets suppliers access the platform for free to improve data accuracy and collaboration across value chains. Clients span professional services, engineering, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, energy, manufacturing and public-sector organizations, including Schneider Electric, Jacobs, KPMG Australia, Morrison Hershfield and the City of London Corporation. Avarni says it has analyzed more than $1.58 trillion of spend data across 311,000 suppliers and identified over 487 million tonnes of CO2. The company has been expanding U.S. client activity and expects demand to grow as new Scope 3 reporting regulations come into force (including upcoming Australian mandates in mid‑2024). Avarni aggregates supply chain and procurement data into a comprehensive dataset and uses AI to help clients report and forecast their scope 3 carbon footprint. Its platform automates much of the carbon reporting process and claims to reduce reporting time from months to minutes. Since launching last year, Avarni has analyzed more than $100 billion in corporate spending data and 100 million tons of CO2e across public and private markets. Clients include consulting firms such as KPMG Australia and Point B, as well as startups like solar company 5B. The company monetizes via flat monthly fees for professional services and consultancies based on licenses, enterprise fees based on the amount of procurement data analyzed, and a recently launched modular pricing option for componentized services. Avarni differentiates from mainly U.S. competitors (Persefoni, SINAL Technologies, Watershed) by emphasizing its AI and proprietary dataset to speed decarbonization.
