Mission

Founded in 2022, Straand produces prebiotic scalp-care products that leverage Lucas Meyer Cosmetics' trademarked Defenscalp ingredient to balance the scalp biome and address issues like dryness, itchiness and dandruff. The current range comprises four prebiotic scalp-care products sold in mass-market channels, and the company is developing a premium range. Straand has begun international rollouts with recent launches in China, Southeast Asia, the US and the UK. The premium range is planned to launch in the US via DTC and Amazon. Management includes co-founders Sarah Hamilton, Jeremy Hunt, Tim Brown, Nick Morris and General Manager Meagan Pate. The company has secured additional investor support to fund its planned international growth.
