About

Safe-Gauge makes wireless hydraulic-pressure gauges and a DataLink performance logger, assembles PCBs in Sydney with Australian manufacturing, distributes via international dealers, and expands testing, assembly and R&D.

Mission

Safe-Gauge builds wireless monitoring devices that test hydraulic pressures on mobile plant machinery to keep workers clear of the line of fire, and a complementary DataLink product that logs machine performance and detects trends. Its flagship gauge has been picked up by industry customers including BHP, Glencore, Liebherr, Hitachi and Caterpillar, and the company sells via distributors in Brazil and Canada and into markets including Africa and Mongolia. The business moved from The Melt prototyping hub into its own Beresfield facility to expand testing, assembly, stockholding and R&D; final PCB assembly is performed in Sydney with most manufacturing kept in Australia. Safe-Gauge employs about 12 staff and has appointed a chairman, former Seeing Machines CEO Ken Kroeger, and director Barry Formosa, former BHP vice president of safety. Product roadmap includes further DataLink development plus planned complementary tools such as a tachometer and a dial indicator, and the company is targeting expansion into agriculture, marine, construction and defence sectors. The founder, Luke Dawson, draws on hands-on mining and plant experience to guide product design and safety focus.
