Ordermentum
Taking B2B ordering & payment mobile
Why Ordermentum exists
Ordermentum is an Australian hospitality-tech platform that digitises and streamlines wholesale ordering for food and beverage venues. Its platform is used by around 40,000 Australian venues and processes more than $1.2 billion in orders annually. The company was founded in 2014 by Adam Theobald and Andrew Low to address inefficient pad-and-paper ordering systems. Ordermentum has acquired food marketplace Foodbomb (founded 2017), which has processed $100 million in transactions from 13,000 venues. The acquisition and the accompanying funding are intended to accelerate national growth and to help onboard suppliers in verticals such as fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood and smallgoods. Management expects the deal to accelerate the companyβs growth by roughly two years. The combined business is valued at over $100 million. Ordermentum is a B2B software platform that enables online ordering for hospitality and food & beverage businesses. The company was cofounded in 2015 by Adam Theobald (cofounder of payments app Hey You) and Andrew Low (former MD of Tobyβs Estate). It began with a focus on coffee before shifting into the broader food and beverage ordering market. Ordermentum has raised multiple rounds of capital, including $2.5M in 2017 and $5M in February 2021. In July it completed a $6.2M capital raise. Investors named in reporting include David Gordon, Damon Pezaro, Matt Rockman, Bosco Tan and Pure Asset Management.
