Mission
Tagly is a social app dedicated to showcasing content created by brands, allowing users to discover, share, collect and save branded posts. It launched at South by Southwest on iOS and Android with personalized feeds, Daily Collections, and direct chat between users. The initial focus is on fashion and lifestyle brands, with plans to expand quickly into other verticals and to launch an online dashboard that lets brands publish content directly on the platform. Tagly’s experience is currently limited to Facebook content due to Instagram API changes, and the team hopes to lure brands to bypass Instagram. Financially, Tagly has $2 million in seed funding from IZI Mobile. The company is led by serial entrepreneur Mark Alhermizi, founder of Gas Station TV, which was acquired by Rockbridge Ventures for $200 million.
