Mission

Consultmed provides a digital referral and secure messaging platform that streamlines referrals, consent, clinical triage and remote expert opinion, aiming to replace fax‑based workflows. The product enables real‑time exchange of healthcare information between providers and two‑way communication to improve patient and provider experience. Founded in 2019 by Dr Vikram Palit, Consultmed has been deployed at six hospital sites in NSW, including the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, and is used by hundreds of GPs, specialists, allied health workers and administrators. The company has a national footprint with staff in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle. Consultmed previously secured government innovation and seed funding and has an advisory board of senior healthcare leaders and digital health experts. With the new capital it plans to scale the platform across more hospital networks and healthcare providers in Australia over the coming years.
