About
DataFarming provides freemium and enterprise Agri-Intelligence platforms delivering cloud-based satellite imagery every five days and analytics to agronomists and farmers for yield assessment, field variability, and fertilizer decisions.
Mission
Founded in 2017 by Tim and Peta Neale, DataFarming offers a freemium product and an enterprise-grade platform called Agri-Intelligence to help agronomists and farmers unlock the value of farm data. Its cloud-based Digital Agronomist delivers satellite imagery every five days to assess crop yield, manage field variability, and inform fertiliser decisions. The company services more than 120,000 paddocks across 28,000 farming enterprises, representing roughly 40% penetration in Australia’s grain industry, and operates in overseas markets including the UK, South America, Africa and Europe. DataFarming has established high levels of trust among users and, according to Investible’s diligence, its solutions often outperformed more expensive competitors. The startup raised $500,000 in a pre-Series A led by Sydney VC Investible and will use the capital to accelerate sales and product development. It is positioning toward a $5 million Series A and continued global expansion.
