Mission

Based in Antwerp, Nexa Legal develops legaltech software that layers an intelligent AI system over a firm’s existing applications and data sources, automating the full litigation workflow from research to analysis, argumentation and brief-writing. Its flagship product, the Case Flow Wizard, enables lawyers to offload non-strategic, repetitive work so they can focus on legal strategy and client interaction. Founded in August 2025 by Jasper D’Hooghe and Sam Van Praet, the company already counts hundreds of individual lawyer users and dozens of prominent Belgian firms such as Lydian, Cazimir and Elegis as customers only six months after launch. Nexa works closely with clients to co-develop and fine-tune its AI assistants, emphasizing workflow depth and data privacy. With fresh capital, the startup plans to expand headcount, enhance its AI tools and accelerate growth in Belgium and the Netherlands. Architect of the AI solution Lode Kennes has joined as CTO and shareholder, further strengthening the technical team.
