About

Hyro is an AI conversational platform automating voice/text interactions across web, apps and contact centers, scraping websites to build dialogues, route requests, complete tasks and provide engagement metrics.

Mission

Hyro builds an AI-powered conversational platform that automates text and voice conversations between healthcare organizations and their clients across web, call center and app channels. The platform functions as a drop-in replacement for traditional IVR, handling calls and texts to answer common questions and complete tasks like booking or rescheduling appointments, prescription refills, and physician-directory searches. Hyro offers an AI-powered search that scrapes up-to-date information from a customer's website and a smart-routing feature that decides whether to complete tasks automatically, send self-serve links via SMS, or route requests to the appropriate department. The company provides backend engagement and conversion metrics and a feedback loop that surfaces knowledge gaps and the data behind AI responses. Hyro says its assistants have been used by tens of millions of patients and that annual recurring revenue has doubled since it went to market in 2019. The startup plans to expand into adjacent industries such as real estate and the public sector and to add more customization, business-optimization recommendations, and additional AI skills. Hyro, formerly Airbud, offers an adaptive communications platform that layers voice and text chat onto enterprise applications and websites. The product can integrate with contact centers, chatbots, SMS and other channels and scrapes clients' websites to build conversational trees so customers don’t have to do heavy upfront work. Hyro targets information‑heavy industries and is currently aimed at healthcare but plans to expand into real estate, government and other verticals. The company highlights Twilio’s participation and a developing partnership around contact centers as a key differentiator. Hyro lists customers including Carroll, Wheelpros, Mercy Health, University of Rochester Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. Its latest funding brings its total financing to $15 million.
