Mission

Climatech Zero, spun out in 2018 from the merger of Sydney mechanical services firm Climatech Group and Irish sustainability software business CoolPlanet and rebranded in 2022, provides project management and engineering services to help large industrial, transport and building customers cut energy use and emissions. The company says its 29 projects across Australia and New Zealand have delivered A$4.5 million in cost savings and a 30,000-tonne reduction in carbon emissions, with clients including Westfield shopping centres, Parramatta Square developments, coal and gold mines, and various manufacturers and bakeries. Climatech Zero reports double-digit million revenue and is targeting 300% revenue growth in FY2024. Until this deal the business was majority-funded by Climatech Group, which also sourced clients and provided engineering and project management support while Climatech Zero became self-sufficient. The company sees the new capital and partnership as enabling accelerated growth, underwritten investments and expanded go-to-market opportunities with large industrial customers. This is the first external capital the startup has taken.
