Femtek is an Australian women’s health heltech startup founded in 2020 by Olivia Orchowski. Its core product, the Basal Body Ring, is designed to be worn overnight to measure basal body temperature, heart rate and HRV, and to accommodate irregular cycles, PCOS and endometriosis. The company avoids a subscription model for the ring, positioning the device as an accessible, one-time purchase and emphasizing body and cycle literacy for users and healthcare providers. Femtek has more than 500 active users across Australia, Europe and the US and previously raised over $133,000 via Kickstarter. The $1 million funding will be used for further product development, team expansion and marketing. Femtek plans to develop additional software and hardware products, including direct-to-consumer items and B2B coaching/practitioner portals for healthcare professionals.
