About

EVOS designs AC home and fleet EV chargers plus an energy-management platform that schedules and controls charging (rate, power) using off-peak and solar, expanding into India and Southeast Asia.

Mission

Founded in 2020 by Marcelo Salgado, Seshan Weeratunga and Chris Crossman, EVOS designs Australian AC charging systems and a fleet energy management platform for home and work. Its key products include the Fleet Home 22 AC charger, the 7kW SB7 charger (which can add about 35km of range per hour) and a Fleet Platform that schedules charging based on off-peak periods and solar. The platform controls charge rate, speed and power to help owners reduce home charging costs and manage energy consumption. EVOS has expanded into India and Southeast Asia with support from Trade and Investment Queensland’s Go Global Export Program and has hired a regional head of sales to drive overseas growth. Financially, the company completed a $4 million tranche as part of a planned $10 million Series B after raising $5 million in a Series A a year earlier and $1.7 million in a July 2021 seed round. EVOS says the Series B will be used to expand manufacturing capacity and bolster its sales and marketing teams as it ramps product rollout. EVOS develops AC home and fleet electric-vehicle chargers and an energy-management system that chooses optimal idle times and controls charge rate, speed and power. Its first product, the EVOS Fleet Home22 AC Charger, was the first Australian-made home charger to reach the market. The company also offers a patented Smart Start solution to help fleet and EV owners simplify and reduce charging costs. Cofounded by three former employees of Tritium, EVOS has expanded its team, adding 22 employees across manufacturing, sales and engineering. CEO Marcelo Salgado said the company will release a new home charger in Brisbane later this month and has multiple products on the roadmap. The recent funding is intended to accelerate those product launches and market rollouts.
