About

Secure Code Warrior provides a SaaS secure-coding platform with in-browser coding labs, gamified training, tournaments, and IDE/autocorrect plugins, supporting multiple languages and embedding policies into developer workflows.

Mission

Secure Code Warrior offers a modular, customizable learning platform that helps developers learn and retain secure coding practices through videos, walkthroughs, assessments and tournaments. The product includes Coding Labs, an in-browser IDE for real-time coding practice, and is integrated into developer workflows. Customers can build custom modules or use premade templates and focus training on chosen programming languages and topics. The company says its platform is used by more than 400,000 developers and 600 enterprises, including JPMorgan Chase, Atlassian, Salesforce and Cisco. Secure Code Warrior employs about 220 people and plans to invest in product development, sales and customer success to grow the business. It is not yet profitable but aims to reach profitability in 2025. The company raised new capital to continue improving the platform and expand its workforce. Secure Code Warrior offers an online secure-coding platform that uses role-specific exercises and gamification to teach developers to write secure code. The platform supports nearly 30 programming languages and frameworks and delivers more than 3,500 training modules covering over 140 software weaknesses, including the OWASP Top 10. It is designed to be applicable across web apps, APIs, mobile, IoT and legacy systems. The company reports more than 180 customers across 28 countries and over 120 employees globally, and says it maintains near gender parity. Future plans announced include global expansion, continued product innovation, and establishment of new operations on the U.S. West Coast (Portland, Oregon) and across APAC starting in Singapore. To support these plans the company completed a recent financing round described below. Secure Code Warrior provides a SaaS secure application development platform combining gamified online training, a skill-testing tournament mode, and a real-time spellchecker-style autocorrect coaching plugin. The platform embeds secure coding policies into developers' workflows to prevent vulnerabilities and support agile development. Since its start in 2015, the company has built a blue-chip enterprise customer base including 16 of the top 100 global banks and Australia's six largest banks, with customers across telecommunications, technology, retail, and airlines in over 15 countries. SCW has offices in Sydney, London, Bruges and Boston and maintains engineering hubs in Belgium and Australia. North America is already its largest market. The company plans to expand its sales, marketing, and customer success presence in the United States while continuing product innovation.
