Why HEO exists

HEO builds non-Earth imaging and analytics technology and offers a software platform, HEO Inspect, for satellite inspection and monitoring. At its T-Minus product event the company showcased updates to HEO Inspect that deliver higher-resolution imaging, faster data acquisition, extended spacecraft coverage, and features including attitude estimation and pattern-of-life analysis to better monitor spacecraft orbiting our planet. The company announced a $12 million AUD Series A funding round led by Airtree Ventures. CEO and co-founder Dr. Will Crowe said the support from Airtree equips the company to push the boundaries of non-Earth imaging and space utilisation. The firm rebranded from HEO Robotics to HEO at the T-Minus event to reflect a broader scope of space-related solutions. Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency, said HEO’s satellite inspection technology is enhancing understanding of space debris, satellite movements, and potential threats.
