Mission

Vigor Renewables Ltd is a London-based solar and wind developer formed to take advantage of the UK feed-in-tariffs coming into effect in April 2010. The company intends to design, build, own and operate sub-5MW renewable energy installations across the UK by partnering with landowners and commercial property owners and managers. Site owners will receive either rental income or discounted electricity prices while Vigor captures tariff payments and power export/off-take revenues. The UK feed-in-tariffs guarantee an inflation-linked income for sub-5MW projects—20 years for wind and 25 years for solar—providing long-term revenue visibility. Vigor has identified a strong pipeline of potential deal-flow and expects its first project to start in summer 2010. Financially, the company has received a £500,000 investment from Low Carbon Accelerator to support its early development activities.
