Mission

CapitalPitch operates an online accelerator that guides startups through a six-step program—valuation, pitch building, strategic review, due diligence, securing a lead investor, and introductions to global syndicates—to prepare them for capital raises. The company uses its platform, mentor/advisor network, and screening at each step to ensure participating startups are investor-ready. It will use the newly raised funds to expand the online platform and grow its network of expert mentors and advisors, and has added Ryan McGarvey as CTO and Alan Beattie as CFO. CapitalPitch is also creating a companion fund, CapitalPitch Ventures, to co-lead investments in program graduates and plans to invest up to $50,000 in each of 20 startups expected to complete the program this year. The startup reports 851 members since launching in 2014 and has 16 startups currently in the process of raising. In 2015 six graduates raised a combined $11 million, demonstrating early traction for the accelerator model.
