About

GardenSpace builds a static solar-powered garden robot that connects to water and Wi‑Fi, waters plants, monitors chlorophyll, soil and plant temperature, and includes a motion-sensing 360° camera and app.

Mission

GardenSpace makes a static, solar-powered robot that automatically waters plants, monitors chlorophyll levels, and tracks plant and soil temperature via a linked app that serves as a garden command center. Users connect the device to their water supply and Wi‑Fi, and the solar-powered motor removes the need for batteries or mains power. The robot includes a motion‑sensing 360° camera that watches plants and can squirt water at trespassing animals, while the app logs health data, provides planting guidance, and can reorder seeds. It is designed for gardens and allotments rather than high-rise balconies and can manage up to 100 square feet, which the company says can produce roughly $700 of produce per year. The team developed the project out of the HAX accelerator in China and launched on Kickstarter out of Australia. Financially, the company has so far raised $34,000 on Kickstarter.
