Sortd is an ecommerce app that consolidates wish lists from multiple online retailers, lets users compare options, share lists, collaborate and complete purchases on the platform. The app launched in the Apple App Store last week after the founders rebranded from Walah to Sortd three months ago. Sortd partners with retailers such as The Iconic, Farfetch, Shopbop, Princess Polly, Cotton:On and Matches and earns commissions on purchases. The company positions itself as a lead-generation and advertising tool for retailers that re-engages shoppers who might have lost track of items. In the near term the team is focused on building features that incentivise sharing lists with friends and adding voting functionality to support group shopping decisions. The founders say they plan to grow organically while keeping customer acquisition costs low.
