About

Akaysha Energy develops and operates large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid stability and renewable integration.

Mission

Akaysha Energy is a developer and operator of utility-scale battery energy storage systems that support grid reliability and facilitate higher penetration of renewables. The company recently delivered the first phase of the Waratah “super battery” in New South Wales, which is now described as the most powerful BESS in the world. Building on this flagship project, Akaysha is pursuing a pipeline of large-scale storage assets across Australia, the United States, Japan and Germany. Its strategy is to build multi-market, portfolio-level infrastructure rather than financing projects one at a time. To accelerate this rollout the company secured a three-year, borrowing-base credit facility that links available debt to the value of its operational and development assets, providing flexible capital as the portfolio grows. Management believes the structure lowers transaction costs, speeds project deployment and signals growing bank confidence in grid-scale storage.
