Mission
Klean builds a platform that measures and showcases brands' ESG credentials across social impact, carbon, water and chemicals and collects eCommerce transaction data. It uses AI to help retailers increase customer retention and lifetime value through retargeting via social media ads and EDMs. The company has two live products and a backend analytics dashboard used by 15 customers, including Wild Earth, OCAM, Hommey and Arms of Eve. An AI-based retention product is being built and will be live with beta customers next month. Klean was founded in late 2022 by Shan Vahora, who previously helped scale data & analytics startup Intelie to a A$45 million exit to Viasat. The startup and its investors report the platform can drive average order value increases up to 33%, conversion-rate lifts around 15% and ROI of 5–10x. Funds raised will be used for growth, product development and marketing, including development of its AI analytics and consumer engagement tools.
