About

LYRO Robotics builds retrofit-compatible produce-packing robots and Machine Intelligence software, offered via robots-as-a-service, to identify, pick, pattern-pack, and prepare diverse fruits and vegetables for shipment and order fulfillment.

Mission

LYRO Robotics develops produce-packing robots and LYRO Machine Intelligence software to identify, pick, pattern-pack and prepare a wide variety of fruits and vegetables for shipment. Its system is retrofit-compatible with existing packing operations and offered under a ‘robots as a service’ model to match seasonality and volume. The company says its technology can handle diverse produce types (avocados, citrus, melons, apples, stone fruit, cucurbits, root vegetables, and more) and be used for order fulfillment such as meal boxes and grocery orders. LYRO highlights deployments on farms where the robots improved packing efficiencies and farmer margins, while its main technical challenge has been adapting its machine intelligence to the variability of fresh produce. LYRO participated in the GROW Impact Accelerator (run by AgFunder and GROW) and emphasizes impact goals of reducing food waste and strengthening supply chains. Financially, the company recently closed a seed round to support its commercialisation and deployment efforts.
