Smileyscope develops virtual and augmented reality therapeutics focused on reducing pain, anxiety, and mental-health symptoms, particularly during pediatric procedures. Its flagship product uses patented therapy software called Procedural Choreography and a medically designed VR headset to replace negative stimuli with positive virtual experiences. The company is clinical-stage with multiple trials underway and has a worldwide medically designed headset. Smileyscope reports adoption in 100% of Australian Children’s Hospitals and is operationally profitable in Australia. It is rapidly expanding across U.S. children’s hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Boston Children’s, and Nicklaus Children’s. Leadership includes CEO Dr. Evelyn Chan and Dr. Paul Leong. The company plans to grow its clinical-stage pipeline and expand across health systems in the United States and Australia using new funding.
