Solpod manufactures in Melbourne re-deployable aluminium racking pods with prefabricated commercial solar panels adhered with industrial-strength adhesive for removals and rapid rooftop installations.

Mission

Solpod has developed a re-deployable racking and mounting system—aluminium ‘‘pods’’ with prefabricated commercial-scale panels—that are fixed with industrial-strength adhesive and can be removed and redeployed. The company manufactures its pods in Melbourne and says installations can be completed within hours. A trial program will install Solpod systems at 25 sites across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland totaling nearly 2.5 MW of capacity, with each site having up to 100 kW of PV. Solpod is partnering with ERM Power, which sourced and contracted property owners and will administer delivery and bill Solpod power purchase agreements. Property owners taking part include GPT and Property NSW, who will each install 10 pods. Solpod pitches its product to commercial tenants and landlords, enabling short-term PPAs and rooftop access where traditional fixed mounting is impractical. Founder and CEO James Larratt is quoted outlining the company’s aim to remove barriers to commercial rooftop solar adoption.
