About
AgriDigital provides a blockchain-backed supply-chain software platform that digitizes grain inventory, tracks quality, location, ownership and transport, automates payment-delivery workflows, and supports supply-chain financing.
Mission
AgriDigital provides a software platform that creates digital records of grain inventory, tracking quality, quantity, location, transportation history, ownership, contracts and orders across the supply chain. The company uses data and insights from the platform to help farmers and buyers collateralize grain assets to access fast, flexible working capital and to buy and hold grain without long facility fees. It generates revenue through three streams: software subscriptions, data services, and management fees from its financing fund. AgriDigital says it facilitated 920 million bushels worth $4.25 billion transacted on its platform in 2021, has disbursed $105 million in financing to users, and manages 15% of all Australian-produced grain. The startup was founded by Emma Weston, Bob McKay and Ben Reid to replace manual, paper-based processes in the commodities business. It plans to enhance its platform, grow its supply chain finance fund, and expand globally, including resuming growth in the US and Canada. AgriDigital delivers a blockchain-backed supply-chain management and traceability technology under the AgriDigital brand, led by co-founder and CEO Emma Weston. The platform automates links between payment and physical delivery across multiple points in the supply chain and serves origination markets. The company reports about 1,300 users and says it has verified A$360 million (US$276m) in grower payments since 2016. AgriDigital is primarily grains-focused but is adding cotton and has ambitions to expand beyond grains. The company plans a global platform launch by the end of the year and is developing a supply-chain financing product aimed at growers and first buyers. AgriDigital is using recent funding to consolidate Australian growth and to expand operations into Canada and the US, including a hire in Winnipeg and additional staff in Canada.
