The Red Village develops dark-fantasy blockchain games with two modes: a Tournament mode (currently live and playable in alpha/beta) and an expansion called The Red Village: Darklands under development. The company targets traditional gamers and plans to use new funding to create an immersive ecosystem around its IP. Tournament mode is supported by an active community and has paid out over $500,000 USD to players. The project previously ran two sold-out NFT sales in late 2021 and early 2022 that generated more than 1,100 ETH and has seen over 3,000 ETH traded on secondary markets. Development of Darklands is being handled by Blowfish Studios, a subsidiary of lead investor Animoca Brands. The Red Village is led by Brendan Robb and is based in Sydney, Australia.
