Hyprfire is a WA cyber security startup that develops Firebug, a network security software solution. Firebug is built on Hyprfire’s Power AI platform and uses statistical techniques to distinguish malicious network traffic from normal traffic. The product is described as an early‑warning system that alerts organisations to vulnerabilities and unauthorised activity to defend against ransomware and other cyber attacks. Hyprfire has begun commercial deployments, signing VenuesWest to install Firebug on its servers and engaging ES2 to deploy and manage the system. The company positions Firebug as a defence for Australian businesses, government agencies and critical infrastructure against emerging attacks. In February Hyprfire raised $2.25M from local investors.
