The product is used primarily by health and financial companies for daily patient check-ins, onboarding, information validation, payment reminders and feedback collection. The platform has processed more than 3 million minutes of AI-human conversations and serves clients including Foodpanda, Quitline, Calvary, Medibank, Brighte, Humm Group and several state and local governments. The company was founded in 2018 and pivoted this year from HR tech to voice AI. About 85% of its revenue currently comes from Australia. With the new funding, Curious Thing plans to expand in Southeast Asia and the United States and hire for its tech team. Founded in 2018 by David McKeague, Dr Han Xu, and Sam Zheng, the startup is six months old as of the article. In February 2019 it raised $1.5 million to expand its technology team and improve product development.
