The product is used primarily by health and financial companies for daily patient check-ins, onboarding, information validation, payment reminders and feedback collection. The platform has processed more than 3 million minutes of AI-human conversations and serves clients including Foodpanda, Quitline, Calvary, Medibank, Brighte, Humm Group and several state and local governments. The company was founded in 2018 and pivoted this year from HR tech to voice AI. About 85% of its revenue currently comes from Australia. With the new funding, Curious Thing plans to expand in Southeast Asia and the United States and hire for its tech team. Curious Thing is a Sydney, Australia–based conversational AI company that builds a voice-based ""Digital Interviewer"" for hiring managers. Its platform is powered by machine learning and NLP to conduct voice interviews and to perform post-interview tasks.
