About
Linktree provides mobile-first, link-in-bio mini-profiles that let creators and brands aggregate multiple links behind one evergreen URL, offering customizable layouts, subscription tiers, analytics and commerce integrations (PayPal, Shopify, Square).
Mission
Linktree provides a ""link-in-bio"" mini-website product that lets creators, brands and ordinary users aggregate links from social profiles and monetize traffic through integrations and subscriptions. The company offers four subscription tiers (free to $21/month) with paid plans providing customization and expanded creator monetization tools; it is currently running a promotional period and does not take a cut of transactions. Linktree has integrations with PayPal, Shopify and Square and recently acquired Songlink/Odelski to launch a Music Link feature that auto-populates artist links across platforms. It reports over 24 million users, roughly 40,000 signups per day, and says it helped 1.7 million people drive 1.2 billion clicks to commerce-related websites in the last year. The company declined to disclose revenue figures or the share of paid users, and its revenue today is primarily from subscriptions. Linktree has grown its team from seven people in March 2020 to over 230 globally, plans to hire another 200–300 roles, and has recruited Mike Olson as president to lead U.S. expansion. Linktree provides lightweight, link-centric user profiles that let creators and brands share multiple links from a single bio URL. The service has grown to more than 12 million users, with about a third (4 million) signing up within the last three months. Linktree claims it holds roughly 88% of the market share in the link-in-bio category. The platform is used across categories including health, real estate, sports, music, publishing and food, and by companies such as Shopify, Facebook, TikTok, YSL, HBO and Major League Baseball, as well as celebrities like Jonathan Van Ness, Jamie Oliver and Pharrell. Founded in 2016 and based in Sydney, Linktree says it has evolved into a social identity layer of the internet and is focusing its roadmap on social commerce features. The company plans to use new funding to build tools that make social commerce easier. Linktree provides simple, mobile-first mini-profiles that let users place many links behind one evergreen URL, solving the ’link in bio’ problem for creators and brands. The product launched in 2016 and has attracted high-profile users and brands; the platform reports 8 million users and profiles that received more than 1 billion visitors in September. Nearly 25% of traffic now comes from direct visitors, and the company says it adds more than 28,000 new users signing up every month day. Linktree is free to use with a $6/month Pro tier offering features like video links, thumbnails, and social icons. The team has grown from 10 to 50 employees this year. Linktree plans to use the new funding to add functionality and analytics and to expand its data science and analytics team, while stating it does not collect personally identifiable information or monetize visitor data.
