Worq operates co-working spaces and focuses on creating a community by handling workplace needs and facilitating connections among entrepreneurs, freelancers and businesses. The company currently hosts over 70 teams and approximately 10,000 members. Led by CEO Stephanie Ping and CFO Andrew Yeow, Worq plans to expand its footprint, opening a new location in Subang Jaya in October 2018 and adding additional sites soon. Financially, Worq raised US$2.5M in the reported funding round to support that expansion. Backers in this round included Bangsawan Consulting and Phillip Capital, alongside existing investors. Existing backers include Cradle Fund, SMG, 500 Startups and some private individuals.
