The company launched its first site in August 2012 and rolled out a B2C sports betting offering in October 2012, later adding integrated monetization in February. BuddyBet integrates a proprietary automated skills-matching engine to pair players of similar ability and preserve fair, competitive play. The product has been integrated via a partnership with DSG across more than 180 websites, including Footymad.net, and the company is extending that integration into the larger online and mobile gaming market. BuddyBet positions skill-game betting as a user-friendly monetization alternative to banners and freemium models that can detract from the gameplay experience. The company cites Digi-Capital research estimating the online and mobile gaming market at $83 billion by 2016 as the addressable opportunity.
