Mission

GetHired is launching a video-based social recruiting platform and job board that enables users to embed video and audio directly into profiles and job applications. The product lets applicants replace cover letters with multimedia responses to pre-screening questions, create personal or public video introductions, follow companies, upload interview availability in real time, and receive application-status updates. Employers can post open positions for free initially, ask position-specific pre-screening questions, search and pre-screen candidates, and schedule interviews in real time using the platform's scheduling features. The company launched this year and is based in Palo Alto; it currently has 14 employees and plans to use its seed funding to ramp hiring, specifically of engineers. GetHired raised $1.75 million in seed funding to support a free initial launch and customer acquisition. The company plans to introduce paid employer features in the future, starting with charging roughly $25 per job posting.
