ShareRing is an enterprise-ready, modular blockchain protocol and travel platform focused on the fragmented $7 trillion travel economy. The platform aims to bring hotel check-ins, flights, ferries, buses, trains, activities, visa and tourist applications, COVID passports, self-sovereign digital identity cards, mobile wallets, payment solutions and vehicle rentals into a single ecosystem. ShareRing says travelers can book and pay for over 2.6 million hotels/accommodations, 1.2 million car rentals and 200,000 activities, plus ferries, train tickets and flights in over 200 countries using fiat or crypto. The company highlights significant partnerships that it says improve customer experience and distribution. ShareRing’s protocol (ShareLedger) is positioned to reduce intermediaries and costs across travel, insurance, rentals, logistics, charity, cryptocurrency and marketplaces. Following the announced investment, ShareRing will work with its investor to expand institutional distribution and adoption of the SHR token.
