About

JOLT Charge installs roadside fast EV chargers embedded in advertising panels in Adelaide and Sydney, offering ~7kWh (~15 minutes) free, renewable-powered and compatible with all EVs.

Mission

Jolt installs public electric-vehicle charging stations and pairs charging offers with billboard advertising to refinance its service. The company offers the first 7kWh of power free (about 45km of driving range), with advertising revenue intended to cover costs. Today it operates only a few dozen public charging stations across Adelaide and Sydney, using existing power infrastructure such as substations and streetside electricity kiosks. Jolt plans to build 5,000 charging stations across Australia by 2030 and aims to install 1,000 stations within the next three years. The company is pursuing aggressive rollout plans and is supported by a milestone-linked capital commitment from BlackRock to accelerate deployment. JOLT Charge is deploying EV fast chargers embedded in roadside advertising panels to provide accessible charging in public car parks, streets and other spaces. The company will install 21 fast charging units in Adelaide across several local government areas including Campbelltown, Charles Sturt, Marion and Port Adelaide Enfield. The chargers are capable of serving all types of EVs, provide approximately 15 minutes of free charging (around 45 km of range) with paid options for longer sessions, and are powered by 100% renewable energy. JOLT’s project tests an advertiser-funded commercial model that aims to generate revenue from ad sales to cover infrastructure and charging costs. If the trial proves viable, the model could be expanded to build larger inner-city and national charging networks ahead of growing EV adoption. JOLT’s leadership says the rollout will support councils in transitioning to zero-emission transport.
