About

Kynd is a Queensland-based online marketplace that connects National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants with vetted disability support workers.

Mission

Kynd operates a digital platform that matches individuals on the National Disability Insurance Scheme with qualified support workers, streamlining the process of sourcing disability services. The Queensland startup positions itself as a two-sided marketplace, focusing on transparency, choice, and speed for both carers and clients. Over the past six months, the business has experienced a 335 per cent surge in users, indicating strong product-market traction. To capitalise on this growth, Kynd closed its second funding round, securing $2 million in fresh capital. New backers include the billionaire Gandel family and Shark Tank judge Glen Richards, who join the company’s shareholder base. The infusion strengthens Kynd’s balance sheet and will be directed toward scaling the platform, expanding its support-worker network, and enhancing product features.
