Western BACE operates a technology-rich hub in Melbourne’s West that provides tools, hardware, software and combined technical/advisory teams to support startups, community enterprise and technology deployment in Greenfield development.

Mission

Western BACE has secured a grant from LaunchVic to support its next phase as the hub of enterprise, community activity and business development for Melbourne’s West. The funding will be used to build the Digital BACE: a technology‑rich environment equipped with the latest tools, hardware, software and combined technical/advisory teams. The Digital BACE development will be supported by City of Melton, Marketing Entourage and BlueChilli. The project is identified as a key 2016 priority intended to attract start-ups from outside the region and accelerate economic transformation of the West. Western BACE says it will use the LaunchVic grant as a catalyst for further economic development and to support the area’s increasing population. The organisation positions itself as a landing pad and conduit to the development industry investing in base technology infrastructure, enabling partners to bring new technology solutions to Greenfield development.
