80Proof Australia is a Melbourne-founded drinks company started in 2021 by nightclub owners Jess Conti, Danny Grant and Georgie Grigoriadis. Its core products are pre-made bottled nightclub shots, including Wet Pussy Shot, Sour Puss (sour apple) and Pawn Star (passionfruit and vanilla). The line became a viral sensation, generating significant social media attention and revenue growth. In mid-2021 80Proof acquired Boujee Wines and brought its creator Shane Barrington on board as a strategic partner to expand the company’s digital footprint and off-premise growth. The company recently settled an undisclosed equity raising with Cadmon Ventures to fund product-line expansion, staffing, marketing and product development with new strategic partners. The founders have signalled further product and partnership developments planned for 2022.
