Wave Computing develops dataflow-based architecture, systems and solutions to accelerate AI and deep learning workloads across datacenters and the edge. The company emphasizes a ""follow the data"" vision to bring deep learning to customers' data wherever it resides. In June 2018 Wave acquired MIPS Tech to extend its offerings into AI-enabled embedded solutions and licensable CPU IP. Led by CEO Derek Meyer and Founder/Chairman Dado Banatao, the company sells globally and operates with a team of more than 200 employees across the United States, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. Wave announced the Series E round to support worldwide growth and the evolution of its structure for strategic and commercial scale-out plans in 2019 and beyond. The fundraising news also noted total funding to date of over $200M.
