i/o designs, engineers and delivers digital energy technology and modular data center solutions, including its ANYWHERE™ modular data center and Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) offering. The company focuses on large enterprises, governments and service providers. It raised $105m in growth capital to accelerate delivery of its products and services and to increase ANYWHERE™ production capacity. Proceeds will also fund expanded research and development programs and fulfill orders for ANYWHERE modular data centers from enterprise customers worldwide. Management said the financing will accelerate DCaaS™ delivery plans in North America and support expansion plans in Europe and Asia. i/o recently opened its third modular data center location, i/o NEW JERSEY, and commenced work on the second phase of i/o PHOENIX.
