The platform lists cars with 360-degree high-resolution imagery, calls out flaws, offers transparent pricing, and provides over-the-phone and online customer support. Vehicles in its fleet are typically under five years old and under 100,000 kms; the company currently holds about 300 cars and expects to exceed 500 soon. Carma emerged from nine months in stealth and used initial funding to recruit an executive team, build its website and open a state-of-the-art inspection and reconditioning facility in Sydney. The company plans to launch to Sydney customers first, expand across New South Wales in the coming months, and enter Brisbane and Melbourne next year, and it said it will begin another fundraising round to support accelerated expansion in 2022.
